Before looking at SS12 I’d like to take the opportunity to highlight a few of my favourite pieces and collections of AW11; starting off with the gorgeous Elie Saab Haute Couture collection.
The dresses within this collection ooze winter chic and glamour and Saab’s use of nude, earth and black colours give the collection class and an edginess. The dresses flow with ease and grace and the sequins add an immaculate glaze to each dress. Personally, these are my two key pieces but I would happily take any if offered (please offer).
Another collection that impressed me was the Miu Miu AW11 which was very simple yet effective including features like broad shoulders, puffy sleeves and a collar on (almost) every neckline. The structuring of the pieces is what struck me the most though as Miu Miu introduced their own take on classic silhouettes like pencil skirts and trench coats.
This collection IS feminine confidence.
